This is the story of 5 prisoners in Rostock 1979 who are tortured for information pertaining to the Zaire war. Sadly for them, their resilience inspires the torturers to simply end their lives. They put each person in a burlap sack, with a snake, a dog and a monkey- then they shove them in the water! 2 of the prisoners are killed in this way. The remaining 3 decide to end each others' lives before they too suffer the same fate. However, it's not that easy. You see, they might be war criminals- they might have condemned many an African man to the grave, but they also love each other profoundly... The film is inspired by French New Wave. It is influenced by the movie, Weekend by Jean Luc Godard (1967).
